The origins story of the black turtleneck Steve Jobs began in 1980, when Steve Jobs was in Japan. At the time, Jobs asked the Sony Chairman Akio Morita, why everybody in the company using the uniform. Morita said that after the war, no one has clothes for work and the company must give them clothes to wear every day and from year to year.
